About the corpus

The corpus supports searches in Hill Mari texts and their Russian translations. The materials were collected by fieldwork teams of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at Moscow State University. Lemmas, morphological features, morpheme segmentation, and glosses are searchable.

Working with the data

  • search by word form, lemma, translation, and grammatical feature;
  • inspect context and full texts;
  • filter by document metadata;
  • search individual morpheme glosses.

Annotation reflects the analytical decisions adopted by the project. Some specialized glosses identify a particular allomorph or construction; select a tag below to read its explanation.

Current limitations

The repository does not record a release number, a complete contributor list, or a single approved bibliographic entry. The corpus team should supply these details.
