About the corpus

The corpus presents spoken and written materials in the Bystraya dialect of Even, including folklore, narratives, songs, and newspaper texts. Spoken materials were recorded during HSE University field trips in 2019–2025; the written collection includes publications from the newspaper Aidit.

Search and annotation

  • search Even word forms, lemmas, and Russian translations;
  • grammatical features and morpheme glosses;
  • genre, source, and speaker metadata;
  • full-text display.

The configuration contains labels inherited from several annotation stages. The landing page gives them consistent Russian and English names, but entries ending in a question mark still require expert review.

Current limitations

Publication-ready documentation still requires an approved licence, a complete collector and speaker list, a bibliography of written sources, and a release number.
